International cosplay day 2012

Preparation on the day itself went smoothly this time yay!! That's a first! No missing wig caps, costume, unstickable falsies or tangled wigs (Y) 

Make up this time was good for me, because I used eyeshadow for the first time and am pleased with the effects, though they don't show up in photos. Yz's roll on concealer also made me look very white :D Imma get it! I piled on too much powder though, and ended up looking grey =/ On the other hand..... I didn't help yz and kyou too much with their make up because I was busy with my own =( Left them to auto pilot and gave out commands only once in a while LOL 

Kyou tried to bind her chest cos we were being particular that way hahaha and it worked for like 10 minutes and totally slipped under her chest while we were walking to the busstop from my house. It  might work for me since i'm flatter to begin with. She also scared me before the event by saying that the wig looks hideous on her T___T turns out she wasn't putting it on correctly haiyo she looked fantastic as Kamui okies..

Yz did not look like Katsura........ Zura ja nai, emo-girl-with-long-black-hair da -__- There was nothing I could do about it because it's the nature of the wig. And I'm not an expert on makeup to look like a guy.

The main trouble with this cosplay was in getting the hoodies.. I've elaborated enough in the prev post so yea.. The final accuracy was low too.. So we just tried to make it as colourful as possible and just go see see look look. This event was quite stress free compared to cosfest XD and we took more photos of the other cosers.  

So we went as Hip hop! Katsura, Kagura and Kamui. People actually regconise us XD Met this friendly Kagura chan and we took a photo! First photo of the day ahaha

Then I looked around the booths and got myself an Aoba badge! It's now pinned onto my pencil case (: Too bad they didn't have the other characters.. I would love to get Noiz! 

Watched cosplay chess for the first time and it's so freaking cool!!! Though I totally ran out of energy in the middle and sat down for the rest of the show... But the introduction of the players one by one really got my adrenaline running. I mistook Laura Croft for Revy and Sora for Yukimura lolol. Anyway, I can see the effort gone into putting up the show and it's really alot of hard work, with all the voice overs and staged fights. -kowtows- 

I'm getting better at using the software to edit the photos, I don't do plastic surgery okies hahaha i enhance the colours and brighten up the skin. Occasionally add in a blush if it's a close up of the face. Look at this!! I managed to remove a guy who was in the picture!! So proud of myself and all under 10 minutes too.

Katsurap yoyoyo!! Trying to act hip hop but failed miserably, I always end up kicking yz for fun because it was so awkward. We even tried to walk in a hip hop manner on our way to the event but the other two say I look like i'm skipping -_-

Second week of school

Year 3 semester 1... I feel so stale

Going to be a busy semester with lots of group projects =D two of my modules are heavily focused on group work, it'll be a nice change I guess! Search for life on other worlds and Chinese for science and technology. My chinese has really dropped to the pits-- I was so embarrassed to receive my mini essay back with one wrong word and an incomplete sentence X_X hope laoshi doesn't think too badly of me.

House party and welcome tea over! My longest solo yet for house party and quartet performance went well, and i'm involved in another quartet plus playing piano accompaniment for a saxophone duet. Sometimes I think i'm biting off more than I can chew but it's okies.... as long as it doesn't interfere with my main hobbies. And most importantly I don't hate all these music (: 

Met up with the Ys and the bfs hahaha had nice Vietnamese grilled chicken and went drinking at wala wala after that. Crapped alot about the old days, I think the bfs were bored but oh wells 8D 

Went with Yz yesterday to queensway shopping centre to get pullover hoodies for our hiphop!Gintama cosplay and found really nice ones. But they were not for individual sale T______T arsdfkjhlaefhjalehf right under our noses but not for sale. Sheesh so we braved the rain and the long walk and went to IMM giant hoping to find some pullover hoodies.. Disappointing... they only sold tacky ones which looked like door mats. Walked around the jurong mrt area but still no hope. Even made one last try at clementi center area... At the end of the day we only got caps and found lots of suitable gloves at daiso. I hope they will still be in stock when I need to buy them for my next cosplay. If any of you own a plain (abit of pattern is fine) bright colored pullover hoodie, please let me know!!!! Really hope this sunday will turn out well.... Main thing is to have fun lah

You know.. I wanted to post about seiyuus cos I recently did a ranking test and am full of feelings for the results. But the Ys are complaining that I don't talk enough about myself here so yea HAHAHA next time then ;)

Helppppppp

I have so much to catch up on it's going to take a while before I can be up to date and settle into a routine. Don't like this at all!!!!!

Still in malaysia and kinda regret going for the trip nahh not really.. just a bit this morning when all the shit came in the moment I woke up and checked my phone.

Scared the shit out of myself this morning when I woke up to find that it's fastest fingers for cardio lab session at 9am (serves me right for turning off notification for whatssap) but either way I can't take the same session as the ninja girls cos band concert falls on even week.

Apparently kyou doesn't check fb so she also smsed me to ask if I was going for lecture T___T sorry kyou I can't reply you.

The all that stuff about quartet prac.. I didn't realise that my flight back was at 9+pm so I can't go for a practice that I scheduled. And I totally forgot about it, did no arrangements and had to bother a section mate to sms the others cos not everyone has whatssap. I'M SUCH AN IRRESPONSIBLE SL SOMEONE KILL ME

The moment I get home it's going to be band band band everyday gosh. Stressful solo.... I've got to enjoy it.. will try hard.

I need to get hoodie for hiphop!Kagura.. Hope yz is on track with Katsura -_-

My notes are unprinted, my tumblr queue is close to empty, my new anime episodes are unwatched cos I was busy with the wedding and the internet is just too slow.

Yawns...

I sat through 2 seasons and both OVAs of Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi within 2 days and enjoyed it (: Woohoo~ this marks my first ever shounen ai anime and I'm glad it wasn't too bad an experience. There was a tad bit too much drama- (love triangle, misunderstandings, ex lovers, those are a bunch of very very insecure guys omy) and the basis of the story was ridiculous-- (breaking up and running away because your first love answered with a smile instead of confirming his love) but ignoring that, it's really quite lovable. Wonderful voice acting and bishies every where!!!

My feels for the anime really emerged when they touched on the topic of breaking the news to their family in the second episode of the OVA. I kept trying to imagine my reaction if my children were to tell me such shocking news about their sexuality. I would be disappointed, of course, and it's such a tough road to take-- WHY? Well that's as far as I imagined. LOL 

Since Junjou Romantica's protagonist made a guest appearance in one of the episodes, I tried watching one episode of it. Decided not to continue because I didn't like it at all. During Usami's guest appearance in Sekaiichi Hatsukoi, I got a rude shock when he spoke because a high school boy should never ever have that kind of voice X_____X why couldn't he do a lighter and higher voice T ^T it destroyed the character for me. First episode of Junjou only made it worse. Yeeaa I don't know what i'm missing out on by not watching but I'm honestly not interested anymore. 

I guess after playing dramatical murder plus watching and liking such anime.. I can no longer say that I reject bl. I did cringe a lot during the first few episodes but I got over them quickly. I kept wondering if any of my feels would change if all the ukes became female. But it was very hard to visualize so I left it at that =X

Completed Boku no Shokora, charming little game ^^ the male character reminds me so much of Luca and he's so devoted, patient and funny too KYAAAAA XD managed to get all the endings without referring to any sources

Since my system locale was still set in japan, I started on Black Wolves Saga. It was after much consideration that I installed the game. From the reviews i've read, I realised that there is so much more to the game than whips and torture. Contrary to my initial plan to go for Rath, I chose Nesso instead because I ended up liking him more than I thought I would XD will post more CGs when I tidy them up =DDD

Lookie I trimmed my orange-red wig from scratch and I'm 70% pleased with the results, suitable for Kagura and perhaps even Hisoka!! No face because it's too cui to be shown

Bloody Call PC

We got the Olympic bronze medal for table tennis women individuals!!! YAYYY

Sure, Bloody Call got draggy at parts and the common parts were too many and too long across the routes, making the game a tad bit linear, but I still loved it tremendously. The CGs for Bloody Call are beautiful, I wish I had them in the full screen rather than the window sizes because they cant fill my entire desktop as background (btw it's still Noiz from DMMd)

Seiyuu cast was superb, Nakamura Yuichi, Hino Satoshi, Ishida Akira, Namikawa Daisuke, Morikawa Toshiyuki, Suzumura Kenichi... I love the voice of every single one of the obtainable characters -throws confetti- I'm not going to be doing a full summary because the story gets complicated so just feast your eyes on the bishies and CGs and my ramblings.

I completed the game in this order: Wataru, Kugami, Cain, Reimei, Shirou, Jin

Following a recommended play order I saw somewhere, I went for Wataru first. He was also the guy I was least interested in -__- because he's really quite uncool, getting kicked around by Rin, not having a bugai and all

I think he looked quite attractive here though. Rin looks even more awesome XD

So..... I wasn't fangirling over Wataru, he didn't make my heart go tokidoki. But he was awkwardly cute at times like during the first kiss XD and this CG of him sleeping oh man.. so adorable!!

Wataru's route was mainly about him acting tsundere and trying to become stronger. He tattoos himself a bugai and if you, as Futaba (the female protagonist), make the wrong choice, he ends up dying-- sad emo time where Futaba holds his hands while he lies on the bed trying to tell her that he loves her. Wataru's hands drop from her grasp lifelesly and he dies before even saying 'I love you'. If not, he survives and gains a new power and defeats the bad guys and they live happily.

Now... I have mixed feelings for Kugami. He's the school doctor (what's with Ishida and school doctors lolol) as well as the enemy spy who initially tries to get closer to Futaba to get more info. I didn't quite like his character design to be honest.. those glasses look like transition lens and I don't like Kugami wearing them at all =(

He plays hard to get and bahhh it managed to draw me in hehe. Was feeling happy and satisfied when he finally admits to liking Futaba. But it was really the bad ending which increased my love for Kugami.. He turns into a monster and loiters around in the enemy HQ after killing everyone. When Futaba tries to find Kugami during the incident aftermath, she bumps into monster!Kugami and almost have a face off. Just before he attacks Futaba, monster!Kugami stops, looks at Futaba, gives an anguished roar and retreats, never to be seen again T_____T it's soooo sad, I can still hear the final roar echoing in my ears.


This makes Kugami's happy ending all the more precious though it's nothing special by itself, I really want Kugami to live and be happy T ^T One more thing, Kugami always dies or gets hurt seriously in other people's routes, it's quite funny XD cos Ishida actually voices the groans and last words.

Cain's route was so funny!! Namikawa sprouting engrish and speaking with a foreigner accent XD Cain was a charming guy, and I liked him from the start ^^

No one is perfect though.. I find that Cain has too much of a brother complex. In the good ending, they successfully rescue his brother, Abel, out from the HQ and Cain spends all his time looking after his unconscious brother. That i'm ok with. But he tells Futaba that he will confess and kiss her when his brother wakes up. Like O_O? If Abel doesn't wake up then too bad for Futaba? 

In the bad ending, Futaba grants Abel's wish and kills him. Cain is devastated of course, but he understands that Futaba had eased him of the terrible task of killing his own brother. However, he's too heartbroken so he leaves her. It was awfully nice of him to speak to her so gently and not blame her after what she had done.. but again it shows his overwhelming love for his brother. 

I went after Reimei next and even though he's voiced by my favourite voice actor, this character makes Nakamura sound so..... lifeless. I actually clicked to proceed without listening to the full sentence/speech. Reimei's supposed to be the main male character but the route didn't meet my expectations )=

Too prim and proper even till the end.. It's one thing to be gentlemanly and principled, but Reimei went overboard to become wooden and ... just flat. I actually liked the bad end, Imitation kiss, more than the happy one because he pulled a bed sheet over Futaba's mouth and kissed her in her sleep before leaving with Shirou to battle the baddies, never returning. In the happy end, all 3 went together and after it all, Reimei knelt down and pledged his loyalty to Futaba while kissing her hand -___________- what is this, i'm sure she is looking for a lover, not a loyal knight.

On the other hand, Shirou, Reimei's twin was absolutely lovely :D he made many moves on her right from the start and played around with many other girls  XD it was revealed that Shirou chose to act so differently from his brother to improve the impression people have of Reimei because he's really just so distant (see see?) Anyway they have some fluffy and squeal worthy times here and there during which I fell prey to Shirou's charms.

Shirou felt that his bugai was too weak and so he got a new one tattooed, just because he could. The new weapon was very very strong, but it could only be used a limited number of times within a time period or Shirou would lose his calm side and become a killing maniac or something. Of course, Shirou exceeds the limit but he refuses to let Futaba or anyone else know.

In the bad end, after the final battle during which he exceeded his limit, he kisses Futaba and sends her off before shooting himself in the head. That sound of the last gun shot made me cringe. NOO SHIRO.... if that's how it's going to be, I'd rather not have the kiss.

In the good end, he sent Futaba off without a kiss and disappears. After a whole lot of drama, Futaba manages to bring him back to normal and they live happily ever after :)

Finally, the last guy who is also the secret character-- Jin. In the other routes, Jin was portrayed as the boss of the evil guys, though in some you can clearly see that a shota named Ensof was planning something sneaky.

No doubt Jin and Futaba make the one true pairing in the game. I also loved his route :) because Jin is a human, yet he's really strong. He's a little old for Futaba but oh well I don't mind hehe. The both of them go such a long way back, it's touching and to think that Futaba had been his source of strength all those years T ^T

Everytime he acts all gruff but watches her sleep, wipes away her tears, makes sure she eats, asks her about her dreams, keeps her warm... Even though she's supposed to be part of his own race which he has given up on.
Hehe sorry, I exaggerated on the romantic parts. Jin's route is awesome because it pieces together the bits of story gathered from the other routes and delivers the twist. That's why I love it so much! A good plot always makes me love the game more ^^

The romance part is quite cliched, to be honest. Jin dies in the bad ending while in the good end they live happily ever after haha

Finally I've come to the end!! The music was good too! Due to the time I spent on this game, I really listened to the background music in loops for long hours, sometimes the same track for a few hours when I procrastinate and do other stuff with the game running in the background. Catchy themes, but there were few happy music, with the bulk of it being fast paced or sad ones. Bloody call also makes use of some animation thingy when the guys make their weapons appear which is pretty cool.

Just like to point out that Wataru was really treated as a little kid compared to the other guys. His bad end was just so kiddish XD Favourite bad end goes to Kugami because it's really impactful. Fave good end goes to Shirou because you get to hear Hino Satoshi's 'raep' voice. Fave guy arh.... I guess it's either Shirou or Jin, followed by Cain, then Kugami, then Reimei and then Wataru ^^


You know cos it's been a while since I completed the game, when I was naming my screen shots just now I actually named Cain and Kugami as Jin. Then when I finally came to Jin, I was wondering why I had so many screen shots of him XD
