Guess what I saw on day 1 of the event

Bought almost all the hxh buttons I saw. It's not alot but still I don't have space to hang them OTL throw to office.

On day 2, I was soloing and following the bf's team when I saw Shizuku... Was spazzing when I spotted the rest of the team one by one walking behind her. Asgdhfkekcnskd it was a one way path and the railing separated us so I totally ran ahead and completed the round and stalked them for about half an hour, waiting for the full team to assemble wahahaha

               

Old version vs new version!! I initially wanted to cos shalnark on day 2 as well but decided against it because I felt it was a wee bit too plain. Hahahaha it would have been so cute if both Shalnarks met though XDXD

Sorry for my disturbing leg. Long story short.. We all forgot our room card which gives access to the lifts and had to climb the stairs. Me, being in my primary school mode at the best of time, fell at the last flight.......... Now my knee feels super tight, hard to bend. Luckily it was at the night of the last event day.. Only the shopping left haha.

Some things happened during the trip which involved me crying -__- but I feel like we understand each other better now. I'm very happy he doesn't slurp his noodles, and doesn't snore when sleeping on the bus. The bus trip from singapore to KL was super long because we were caught in almost every jam along the way. 10 hour ride omg..... the whole friday was gone when we could have reached around 2pm. Trip back to Singapore was much smoother, reached home at around 1+am.

With my new toy, bought him on new year day! he has a permanent frown ahaha fierce I like.

I brought him to the office too ^^ moved to my proper seat cos my senior has officially transferred out. Time to bring all my figurines and display them. Work is okay! I haven't dealt with any angry people yet but the first time will come soon I guess hahaha

Birthday

I had a good birthday ^__^ so happy to read and reply the birthday wishes. XD Received my first figurines ever from the bf and they're lovely~

My iphone6 arrived today guys!! A gift from my 小舅 cos I was supposed to order the 6+ for him and he made a gift of the 6 to me for the trouble. Unfortunately many things happened and now he's just pre-ordering in malaysia himself. I still get the phone though XD -thick skin- It actually got delivered yesterday but I was out to buy dinner ahaha 

Had a saxophone gig (2 x 20mins) on thursday and it was badddddd. I felt so mistreated. Dinner was supposed to be dabaoed by the hirers and we had 1+ hour in between our performances to eat. But the lady, after repeated pestering, told us that they had planed for us to sit at the table and have the food served together with the guests. We checked the menu and found out that dinner would be served at 815pm, 5 minutes before our next 20 min performance. Please, we're not being paid by the hour and it's not early either, I'm not going to stay back after the performance just to eat the last 2 courses of the dinner. And that's provided things don't drag (which they did -_-) I got home after 10 with aching arms and feeling super annoyed and hungry.

The snow halation costume is here! Our group has been diligently practising the dance and we'll be filming the video and doing a photoshoot soon. 

The jacket is sadly too big and I need to do some pinning. Wig is untrimmed also :( aish Was hoping that it'll come nicely trimmed. 

Went for another cosplay job at gardens by the bay on saturday then J and I rushed off immediately to JB for an event. My first overseas event!! It's a huge pity the bf couldn't join in due to some family matters. JB really has a different feel from singapore, so many run down places for shoots!! 

Photo by Maze, please don't re-upload without my permission! The sky got dark really quickly and we had, for dinner, awesome mexican european food at the mall near the customs. It's really fantastic eating in malaysia, can order so much and not go broke.

I was stuck at the malaysia customs really long both ways and when I was returning to singapore, they did a bag 'xray' scan thingy where as expected, my gun was noticed and underwent closer inspections. 

Hahaha I'm glad they didn't make a huge fuss over it like "OMG why is there this gun in her bag, SEARCH HER" XD The lady just very calmly pointed at my bag and I took out the gun (whose nozzle broke and was hanging off in a really sad manner) to show the guy. He politely asked me to wait and called for another guy to come take a look. The second guy glanced briefly at the gun while I explained that it was a prop and made up of plastic and foam. Then he waved us ahead. Really chill.

Sunday I helped out for a shoot where the bf did this bald old man with a mustache. Kept laughing while doing his make up hahahahaha

This morning I went for another interview and things look good! -_- My mum isn't happy when I told her the job description. She's getting irritating nowadays when she keeps telling me to take up a lab job. Hello you think your daughter life science very smart, can do research arh, and I dread the lab environment now, just thinking about bacterial cultures make me very sian.

Sometimes I look back on the past few months since graduation and feel very thankful that I'm able to pick up my saxophone again. And even be making money from both my hobbies :') It's not sustainable in the long term but I think it's been an amazing few months and I'm so happy and proud.

I'm so happy!!!!!

Last saturday........... I finally cosplayed a character from Hunter X Hunter; one of my favourite characters; my hubby of 8 years and counting-- Shalnark from the Genei Ryodan 

                                           

It's a dream come true, because I even had a team!!!! :D we were all busy and the shoot kept getting delayed but it still happened :)))))) 

Did the first costest on friday, which was pretty late, at one day before the shoot but things were looking good so I was even more excited XD the shoes were my main concern because I wanted to use the green cloth to wrap them up but it didn't work well! So I made the decision to paint them using green acrylic X_X

Usually I complain alot while making props but not this darling devil phone XD it was so fun to make and simpler than guns or beads or whatnots. Squealed like mad while assembling the eyes especially XD it's just so cute okay XDXD From where I stopped months ago (the first photo) I decided that it was too wide and sliced off a mm or two from each side. Got a little worried there cos I didn't slice it neatly and I thought I had to redo the whole thing hahaha. I even made it such that I could change the screen by sliding pre-made screens in through the side ehehe so cute so cute.

The antenna was very cute to make also XD I broke a chopstick in half and added jumping clay at the top. Stuck on the wings, lined them with jumping clay, painted the stuff and tada~~~ All the buttons were made using jumping clay too!

So I met up with the bf and had lunch before going over to the shoot location. It was a very windy area and even got cold at some point hahaha feel sorry for those in just bandages or singlets. The shoot started a little late though, and I had more poses which I wanted photos of but due to time constraints, I only got 2 fulfilled XD It's okay, I'll definitely be cosing Shalnark a few more times.

Lots of new experiences XD we experimented with candles, the entire team skipped dinner and braved the rain for a night shot at MBS, hope it will turn out well :DDD This shoot was also my latest ending shoot ever. I got home at 3am OTL Waiting for taxi took forever hahaha when I finally got in bed, I couldn't feel my legs anymore, my lower body just felt like a lump.

WIP

I've started theory lessons! Hope to get the whole thing over and done with before the end of the year.... I've put off learning driving for too long! So long that everytime I go back malaysia, my relatives ask not about having a bf but whether I've gotten my licence LOL

Went to J's house yesterday with Kai and another new coser for a prop making session. I brought the materials to make shal's handphone. It isn't a very tough prop and I have plenty of motivation for it (my hubby since sec school leh hehe) but I've not been able to sit down and get started on it. I was able to yesterday!! The rest could all sense my happiness because I will be looking at my work in progress and smiling to myself, or squealing silently at my phone while looking at the reference picture. 

At first my symmetry was off and one side was larger than the other and it looked so cute!!! Like a swollen cheek but I forgot to take a photo.. Then I stuck on a piece of foam and painted it the magenta colour which looks lovely XD I spent quite some time at art friend choosing the colour to match my reference photo ^_^

Most of the afternoon was spent carving out the number pad and cutting the buttons. I've not fixed them together so no idea how if the final thing will look okay. I've also remade the wings at the side from cardboard :Db Was telling my friend that it seems like an android phone because its quite a large phone.. and it's good for lao hua ppl because the number pad is huge haha

I'm getting my wig this weekend! A little worried about the wig because I chose to get a wig meant for another character. Hoping to modify it from there.

School life is ending soon

I mostly stayed at home like a good girl and studied this week.

Human nutrition module was alright, I finished the paper early but decided to stay on.. until I put my head down and fell asleep for a good 10 minutes OTL just glad I didn't pass out for 30 minutes (my usual nap time when sleeping on a desk) I felt really bad for being rude, so I left about 20 minutes before the end of the paper. First time falling asleep during a paper I can't believe it.

Oncogenes was alright too! I'm really happy to have chosen this module. 8 different pathways and student presentations for each pathway. 4 of the pathways were covered before recess week and tested. The remaining 4 were tested during the examination week. That means I only had 4 sets of notes to study wahahaha even if there were 8, the content is really quite little compared to the other life sciences modules I've taken all these years! The pathways are made quite simple too, nothing complex about them ^___^ I love this module. No matter what my final grade is, oncogenes didn't give me much stress during the already stressful last semester and I'm glad I took it.

Drug and society finals coming up next.. I really love this module as well, it's a pity I only attended some of the lectures in the first half of the sem, skipped the rest because I was too busy and the lectures were webcasted. I finished the remaining webcasts over the week and every single lecture was so interesting. I'm full of nothing but praises for this module hahaha I know I won't do very well though, cos scored below average for the first CA and my assignment is as good as gone because I forgot to submit my assignment on IVLE and only uploaded my video through the software. Only realised it when the lecturer emailed me last wednesday asking me to confirm that I failed to submit the assignment. She said over the email that I will be penalised for the very late submission T______T entirely my fault I know, for not being careful. 

I remember clearly what happened..... In the midst of rushing thesis and experiments, I took out a few hours to record the stuff for the presentation and did quite a few takes. I uploaded the file onto IVLE but was not happy with it and did another take. Submitted the new take through the software and deleted the file from ivle. BUT I FORGOT TO UPLOAD THE NEW FILE. Haiz entirely my fault. I can't blame anyone. The lecturer also reminded to submit via IVLE during lecture but I hadn't watched the webcasts then so no way I could have known. Also conveniently missed the reminder announcement on IVLE. Can I blame FYP for this ahaha nope. I was just careless and forgetful oh well

The anime's awesome and I'm so happy! Speaking of the anime.... oh man I get so emotional every week, I lose my appetite, I need to clutch at something while watching, I dread watching it but I need to watch it... It's crazy. Knowing what happens just makes it worse. I couldn't bear to see some scenes animated and it was so dreadful seeing some parts happen again, animated and voiced.

Just glad that he's always willing to listen to my rants and bear with my super emotional reactions week after week. I'll be like "I feel nauseous" - insert dramatic crying /huddled against wall stickers- "I don't want to watch next week's episode" X100 and he'll just 'cry' along and tell me to watch on.

As the days pass, I realise that I know so little about him, and it makes me anxious, because while I'm happy and I can feel that he's happy, everything still seems very floaty and unreal. I'll step up my game after exams oh wait that sounds incorrect We'll sort it out after exams ehehe

My poster and I

Collected it from print on thursday afternoon for a presentation on friday, something like an exhibition. There I explained my project to other people from the organization, out of my lab. It was a great learning experience and I think i'm much more prepared for the actual presentation this coming tuesday. Made some changes to it and corrected typos -- I actually spelled my prof's name wrongly!!!?! Hahaha

Friends you are right, I have lost weight T__T it was hard to tell even for me because I wear long pants all the time and I don't see how thin my legs are. Then one weekend I wore shorts to lab and realised that my legs are like sticks. I hope to eat better and more after exams and hopefully gain more meat back for the Yang cos which shows some legs.

I'm still continuing with experiments though, after poster presentation... I thought I would be able to stop but I have quite abit to do actually. Really really want to stop going to lab so I can work on the thesis and other projects for my modules. 

I had the diabolik lovers shoot last sunday in a beautiful studio. The photos aren't out on fb yet but here's a selfie with evil Teddy. I like my eyeshadow on the eyelid area to bring out the fake crease but not so much for the rest of my face. One good thing was that the fangs went on so well this time compared to the first time I wore them. 

I'm looking forward to seeing the group photos because they looked fantastic from what I could see out of one eye haha. My solo shots were ok I guess, but couple shot with Yui was bad because I couldn't think of any poses and we were running out of time :) Still, my second studio shoot experience was much better than the first :)

I'm kinda still playing my games, not so much for line play cos I have no time and there's not much going on in there and I just return hearts to my regular group of friends everyday before zzzzing. Hunter x Hunter battle collection had a hisoka event and after a few days' delay I finally took part. Didn't get a very good ranking or a second of the SR card but it was fun and helped me earn back my BP thingies. The stages in GI where, you encounter a girl instead of fighting a boss, were so cute!!! I really liked those ^__^ Pity the event concluded when I was still in GI, going to the volleyball tournament.

I just included this R card of Killua cos he looks so cute XD I enhanced it once and he shows another disgusted face LOL. I chose this screenshot of my pretty little princess cos she's actually sitting on this snoopy flower cloud thingy but it looks like part of her dress! It's sooooo pretty :))

Quick update

I'm just studying for the 40% oncogenes CA tomorrow, leaving my poster and thesis aside. I managed to get more data, but need to repeat both experiments. I have so little data it's not funny... 

I also obtained my second shalnark card on hunter x hunter battle collections. In the process of getting a second card to enhance it. The picture on the card changes after enhancement so I'm all asdfgdowdksjsha

Updates~

I've fallen ill :( snacked on too many stroopwaffles from Mel and I woke up with a scratchy throat the next day which became sneezing fits... And now I have a leaky nose and a bit of a sore throat :/ 

Had a really busy week and I was out for dinner every single day, by choice of course but it was still so tiring.. Maybe that's why I fell sick :( I've been going to lab every single day including weekends.. Need a lot of preparations each time before I can start on the actual data generating experiments.. So time consuming haish

I watched hunter x hunter: the last mission movie on Wednesday!!! Managed to get the poster after asking the lady nicely if I could have one after the movie. The deal was 2 movie ticket to 1 poster.. Dunno why they were so kiam siap but my group of 5 ppl received 2 posters lol! I had to 'fight it out' among 2 other friends and I couldn't stand doing it the scissors paper stone way so I just went to ask for another XD fortunately the lady gave me a poster so by default that belongs to me ohohoho ^__^

          

I enjoyed the movie tremendously despite the questionable quality at the start and lame defeat of the bosses lolol so much feels whenever the ending song played in the movie ahhhhh.. It kinda reflects the current plot in the anime, with gon being so rash and worrying killua :X

Bought new shoes! 2 pairs for $36 and I love both pairs very much!! 

                          

So so happy~ :))) threw out my old pair wore the black pair today, it hurt my feet but all will be fine with some plasters! 

I also collected my Yang wig today! The previous wig I got was very pretty but too dense for the character and not curly enough. This one is just right, though I would like it to be thicker and less tangled haha oh wells. The ahoge is so cute!!!! Wore it together with the top which I got from auntie yesterday~

Midorima Takao shoot

My first shoot for the year and probably the last shoot until I graduate sniff sniff.. Takao Kazunari and Midorima Shintarou from Kuroko no Basket

Almost couldn't wake up this morning and for the first time, I concealed my brows totally and drew on completely new ones, not following my natural brow shape at all. Took me 3 tries to get them symmetrical and slanted at a good angle. Rest of the make up went on as usual, I was trying to elongate my eyes through the eye-lining but they still looked pretty generic to me. Oh wells. Try harder next time :) I also wore a pair of thin lashes bought from daiso (lololol yes i'm using daiso lashes again) because I wanted a bit of eyelash, but the good ones I have are all too dramatic so I picked out a simple pair last saturday when I was playing running man with CI. They work well for guys \^_^/

I left the house wearing my wig because it was black and wouldn't attract much attention. Of all days. Seriously of all days I had to meet my neighbour who was also leaving his house with his family at the same time. I WAS SO AWKWARD HELP T______T I exchanged a hi, smiled at the new born baby girl in the mum's arms and retreated straight back into my house, exclaiming rather loudly that I had forgotten to bring my keys. I hope my neighbours heard my excuse for running away so suddenly. I really couldn't bear entering the same lift and making small talk. Any other time I would have loved to ask about the baby and maybe even poke her a little but NOT TODAY PLEASE. Not with my wig, crazy lined blue eyes, super thin+low eyebrows and my bound chest.

The dad had already seen my machine gun for Laguna when it was in the early stages of spray painting, I left it outside to dry and through my peephole I saw him staring at it.... Now without doubt he knows that it belongs to me. I'm not ashamed of my hobby, I just wish I had a better way of breaking the news to my neighbours..... I should have handled the situation better although it totally caught me by surprise. What would you guys have done D:  

Anyways Nic, our photog was late so Kiyo and I were at macs and I was helping her draw her eyebrows while Oli helped with the contouring. They both gasped after knowing that I was wearing the lens inside out. LOL before that they were complimenting my contacts and asking where I bought them.

It's a dangerous move I know, but I didn't want the black rim which would enlarge my eyes too much so I flipped and wore them the other way round. I won't do it again, sorry :( and to anyone reading this, please don't try it. Especially for colored lens because the printing will be in direct contact with your eyes and that's very very risky. So much for being resourceful...

First shot of the day taken in the toilet. In my hurry to leave the house I forgot my entire bag of make up and brushes. Used some of Kiyo's stuff to touch up. I also forgot my bra so I had my chest bound for the whole time even after the shoot when we went to eat OTL never again am I wrapping the bandage so tightly. I used a photo editing app recommended by Kiyo and the face slimming function is awesome. Haha I admit I slimmed my face here, my chubby cheeks were borderline unbearable in the original photo. The app even has a smile function where you can adjust the curve of the mouths they detect. I tried tweaking it but there was no difference so yea guys these are our real smiles :)

Btw it might not be obvious in photos but while snipping off some loose hair in the toilet, I actually snipped off by mistake, almost half of my right antenna. OMG I wanted to lie down on the cold toilet floor when the scissors went snip and I saw what had been cut. My first thought was that I had ruined the wig (which I probably have) but the only saving part was that I had already gel-ed them together so they didn't fall out immediately. One side is like thinner than the other and I probably have to grab new hair from the side and merge the strands in the future if I cos Takao again.

             

Nic got me this from Japan!!!!!!!!! The Hunter X Hunter Last Mission movie tumbler from J World!! I don't know whether he originally intended to give it to me but I'm really ecstatic and grateful to have received it :'D It's actually my 3rd time shooting with Nic, he was the very first photog I've worked with properly, during the nus cosplayers photoshoot which was also my first photoshoot. He also took shots of my diabolik team during an event at scape. My photos during the reshoot for final fantasy was also taken by him. Hahaha I just find that Nic is a really nice person to work with, time and again I have felt this way. Really really thankful that he was free and willing to come take photos of us today :))

All the indoor courts were full but we chose to go to the badminton court instead of the basketball court because the atmosphere was really heavy in the basketball court @___@ would have felt really uncomfortable taking photos there. Unfortunately the chairs in the badminton courts are orange, matched our uniform so perfectly machiam camouflage sia. The photos looked ok though we re-took some of them after moving to the basketball court later in the afternoon when it was less crowded. Still felt very self conscious with all the other real basketball players squeaking with their shoes while running around and handling the ball like a pro. I was there struggling to make my pose look authentic and do a low dribble without bursting out into laughter.

I was very happy with the shots and can't wait to see them! Nic only does basic editing I think so I'll be expecting to get the photos from him for more processing.

I'm gomen for looking so fierce with my new brows. It's not such a good idea to draw them so low I realised.. I looked kinda squinty in some of the photos taken. Next time will draw them higher up but still slanted. Oli is so pretty!! I've always her found her a beauty ahaha and today we both discovered that she's 2 years younger than I am??! I've always thought I was younger hahaha 

Oh yea final semester starts tomorrow. Makes no difference since I never took much of a break from school after lab started :/

Game rants :D

I finally understand a bit of how my prof feels when another group beats him to and publishes a paper that he too, has been working on.

Only in my case it's referring to cosplay. A few days ago I was looking at photos of Kamigami no Asobi on facebook and telling myself that I should take on this series. Today I realised that the costumes and props my NTU friend has been preparing for STGCC this weekend was for her Kamigami no asobi group T__________T just feeling like I've not been invited to a party LOL no lah, I'm not close to them and am always too shy to join in when they talk about seiyuu so they probably don't know I'm a fellow fan.

At least I have my Diabolik Lovers which I'm so happy with :') it may not be a very good cosplay but every thing feels really different when you're doing a series you fangirl over and love. I can imagine how delighted I'll be when I finally get to cosplay Aoba. Speaking of which........... my Aoba's not going to come to life unless I do something about it. All I have is the wig right now -pats back- I promise I'll get him out next year.

Also playing DRAMAtical Murder: Reconnect which is the fandisc after the initial game... I find it hard to finish the routes.. The H scenes are too much for me to handle X_X I mean I loved the game and the characters but urgh it was tough clicking through the H parts. Just give me my happy ending and a little bit more story and I'll be satisfied. I've finished Clear and moved onto Mink because curiosity got better of me. Will definitely finish everything lah, because of the voice actors as well :)) The mini game is really cute though!! XD Lovely game on the whole   

My wallpaper has changed from Noiz to the Ken ga Kimi guys. Each guy has his own wallpaper but I chose the group one. They look so lovely:

Even my mum thought it looks pretty and agreed to change her laptop wallpaper to that sweet guy on the extreme left. Wow she actually picked one of them XD 

More on my PSP, previously mentioned that I finished Hakuouki. Started on Last Escort while I was almost done with Hakuouki and seriouslyyyyyy Last Escort is impossible to complete without consulting a walkthrough. I thought I was going well with Rei (voiced by youkyan and so I went after him first) but one day in game I received a call from him saying that he had quit his job at the club and will be going overseas. Game over O_o motivation hit a new low and even when I followed the walkthrough I had to replay a few more times before I finally got his good end. 

I picked my next host using a number generator and got the Shota.. With the help of the walkthrough I managed to get all his CGs except for one but that's enough thankyou hahaha.

Then I went after Hiragi aka the sexy voice club manager who's also a host and a huge pervert LOL it was a very entertaining route and suwabe's voice ^/////^ Left with 3.5 more characters but decided to take a break lol it's really tiring

DC girls Symphony was another game I got my hands on and in contrast it's a breeze to get through I'm relieved :)) Went after Kujou sensei because he's voiced by Hirarin. Too bad he's the brother (though not related by blood) so that felt strange. Unspectacular route anyways and the ending was mehhhh. Next up was the gentle twin Kohei and I enjoyed the front part of his route very much, it's the sweet school romance I would have liked to experience myself LOL but the later half was ridiculous O_o The rest of the routes were nothing special. I'm just starting Ryohei's route, since he's the main guy I'm raising my expectations -skeptical look- Saving the strange cat boy route for last haha heard that it's going to be a tear jerker -skeptical look again-

I also managed to get HxH Wonder Adventures to work on my PSP and OMG it's so hard T____T I really tried but i'm stuck at the first stage of the hunter exam with the half beast mystical people. It took me a couple of hours of on off playing to find the swamp master thingy and defeat it to get out of whale island. This is really not easy. Will save this game for when I have lots of time and brain juice to spare lol!

End of wordy post. Journal club presentation this friday and I'm excited + nervous! My mutations are working better now :))b will start on cell work soon
