Thoughts on winter 2011 anime

I really love the winter season anime i've been watching, it's been quite some time since I grew so attach to any series, last was Ookiku furikabutte and Durarara almost  2 years ago.

Third favourite: Natsume yuujinchou shi is as lovely as ever, though it's not quite my favourite season out of the 4, but then again I can't choose a favourite season. They're all so beautiful /T ^T/ The last episode is coming, with the slightly more emo arc of Natsume visiting his house.

Second fave: Chihayafuru. I can't describe how nostalgic the series makes me feel, even though I've never heard of karuta before watching this anime. Chihayafuru reminds me of the days where I played weiqi in school after reading Hikaru no go.... The typical training and tournament plot works very well to keep me interested and the subtle love triangle is making me squeal, so badly. I was melting at Taichi's words last episode. I'm all for Taichi and Chihaya-- It will break my heart if they don't get together in the future. It's not the focus of the plot, nor does it matter the most to both the characters at this current point, but I want it to happen so badly. Now's not the right time though, still early, Drag it on!! then it will be very epic and fulfilling (for me) when they finally get together ^^

*side note*What has Arata done other than to introduce, teach karuta and ignite the passion they have for the game? okie.. i'm understating his contributions here because.. no one is allowed to get between the pairing i ship (Y)

Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou ranks first. After playing Starry Sky, I've started to take so much more notice of the voice actors. Not that I didn't care in the past, but it was more of recognizing the voice and feeling satisfied. Now, I marvel at how they are able to manipulate their voice and it's totally amazing. For this series, the voice actors nailed it for me, Tomokazu Sugita in particular. Because Hidenori sounds like Gin san -love- I enjoy every single silly scenario in every episode. Honestly, this is not the kind of anime I would spend money buying but it has definitely been my consistent main source of laughter every week.

The last episode airs next week. Which brought on the sudden wave of sadness when I realised that so many good series are ending almost at the same time. HxH hiatus, Natsume yuujinchou, Danshi koukousei and even Gintama anime (not sure about this though heh)

Togashi trolls us all

I've not read the latest chapter aka 340 yet, but I know that netero has a son who appears in it. NETERO HAS A SON?!

Togashi is going on a break, strangely i'm not feeling as upset as I should be.. Guess it's because the chimera ant arc ended, and many significant things have happened in the manga, so i'm not complaining.

Hunter X Hunter is also getting an original movie which I have low expectation for... Anime movies are meehh.

OTHER THAN HOTARUBI NO MORI E and a few others. Read the manga long ago and was fangirling about the movie coming out some months back. Forgot about it until I caught sight of the video uploaded.

It was short and sweet

Harp appreciation was fantastic! X Insightful manga?

It was the highlight of last week!! In my opinion =l Many ppl ponned but i'm sure those who went enjoyed themselves too haha the harp has such a sweet sound.

Finally, i watched zoku natsume yuujinchou. It was the same peaceful style as season 1. Not bad for a 1st episode but i hope to see more development, with each episode contributing to a climax later on in the series. If not i will think twice about watching the 3rd season if it ever comes out. Love the opening and ending songs though, very catchy! I also loved the clarinet and piano bgm.

I am officially listing Code Breaker as my weekly manga series. It's decent i guess, with the introduction of more characters and secrets revealed.

Idiot XD a 'World Class Iron Door Bender' competition is just too ridiculous

Movies adapted from manga are cool!

We see alot of these movies around nowadays. The current one is Kurosagi. And nope, it isnt about kurosagi ichigo in bleach haha -__- nvm no one gets the joke.

I've also seen the advertisement for 20th century boys on tv! WOW the moment i saw the sign i was like '!!!!!' Haha it was abit of an over reaction for my part cos i'm not a great fan of the manga. It's quite an old series so the art doesnt appeal to me much. The art was done by the same guy who did Monster. I've mentioned monster in one of my previous post, intriguing plot but again the graphics turn me off.. Yup, this is the sign i mentioned earlier. I dont know what it means cos i didnt read the manga but it's quite well known. Enough for me to recognise the movie after spotting it. Looks freaky ne? XD

I chanced upon Kurosagi few months before promos and started reading it. Quite excited that the movie's out haha such a nice coincident. About swindlers and it's super cool. The actor looks better than the manga character XD

Dragonball live action movie's coming too. This, i'm disgusted. They're just using the names and abilities of the manga characters, to attract more audience and attention. The actors in the movie looks nothing like the manga and i dont think dragonball is suitable to be adapted into a movie anyway. Let's just see how goku does his KAMEHAMEHA or goes into his super saiyan mode. =( Nevermind, the movie might turn out to be a great hit despite my pessimist views.
Here are some natsume screenshots XD

HAHAHA! No, it's not shounen ai.

That certainly seems to be the case.
