Changing impressions

What I dislike the most about university life is the printing of lecture notes. I know, i know, we can't be given printed notes all the time.. but =(

I also miss my student fare when taking public transport. Gone are the 45 cents rides D: Spending $10 on transport every week even though I live within 5 stops of the school.. Warao.. really not worth the 71 cents!

Currently income-less. Was planning to go for the UCC ushers interview but decided against because I seem to be biting off more than I can chew, with band making up most of the mouthful XD Giving tuition seem to be the best option. Also spotted some psychological testing recruitment on IVLE =DD $9 per hour!!! Sounds great right! Just go there, give your particulars and take some memory test or get some electrodes thingy stuck onto your head. Haha will try to apply the next time I see such a posting on IVLE.

I need a new bag, I need a pair of comfy slippers/sneakers. I need a colour printer.

It's funny how certain things are such a huge turn off that I automatically shut down and lose interest for good when I see that certain event happening. Human beings are really complex creatures-- I can't understand why the both of you are behaving this way.

Then again, it's none of my business! =D

Throbbing thumbs

My dearest beloved AS, I'm having some trouble with your brother. It's no joking matter when I need to be well acquainted with him for my first public appearance with him in October.

First of all, I must state that I welcome the challenge =D with a smile.

To think of it.. I have been 'playing' the alto for every single day for the past 3 years, even after I left band. Hear a tune, I move my fingers automatically-- transposed to the alto pitch ( it used to be the piano but I have since moved on XD) It has become almost like second nature to me.. and this is what's causing the trouble. I keep getting thrown off by the altos beside me and when the notes being played out do not fit the pitch I have in mind, it's really hard for me to fully enjoy the music haha.. or play smoothly =D still I believe I'll survive!

Transpose problems aside, I lack the capacity to take on a larger instrument, especially after a year of rest. Even when my fingers are moving, my embouchure cmi and starts to leak.

First prac yesterday was a flop for me.. RAAWRR MOTIVATION

The ground is in view

First week of school, in the midst of settling down but still relatively slack. I really have no idea how the next few weeks of school will be like.. after factoring in band pracs. Yep i've decided to join band! 2 years of saxophone is seriously not enough =D

For the current anime season, I'm watching nothing but 2 series and they are Nurarihyon no mago and Seikimatsu Occult Gakuin (occult academy). I did consider watching Shiki, since it was considered to be the highlight of the season but the 1st episode... kinda struck a discord and I left it at that. Will probably read up on the plot in the future. 12 kingdoms was awesome, so Shiki probably should be too. I just don't like the animation.

Alright! Nurarihyon anime gives off a kiddish vibe, like Keikaishi imo. I've pretty much ignored the manga because of the picture which onemanga used.

It wasn't zoomed in or as clear as the one you see.. and the red monsters at the back really, really, looked like roses to me and I thought it was extremely gay =( As I look back now, I deeply regret not giving the manga a second glance (esp since I have no time to read and onemanga is no longer hosting the series)

Shan't be giving a detailed write up here.. Just a little rant about how hot Night Rikuo is, (picture below shows his grandpa though) among all the other characters XD droopy eyes anime guys are...!!!! Lord Zen too, but he's a bit too sickly for my liking.

As for Occult Academy, it belongs to the science fiction genre which is a big fat 'meeeehh' in my dictionary. Not too enthusiastic but among all the other anime series this season, i'm kinda left with not much choice. I'm in the mood for something more than plain comedy and the other series are totally bs-- too much fan service/ stupidity/ both =(( So Occult Academy will have to do. Well.. not too bad I'd say, not that I was expecting much from it. I especially like the ending song =D Sorry, no pics haha, haven't been taking screen shots.

Me:-wakes up at 11am and goes brush teeth-

Dad: Eh you're home already? Will you be having lunch at home later?

Me: I didn't go out this morning!

Gosh he didn't realise that I was in bed zzzing.

So flag day is over and I was flagging at Toa payoh for most part of the day and relocated to Chinatown at night. It was hard work, as we all know but I didn't feel like giving up until I started flagging at Chinatown. Nuff said about that =) On to the funny stuff.

Me: Hi, would you like to make a small donation?

Old man: Hmm what's this?

Me: We're from NUS and it's the annual NUS flag day! -blablabla-

OM: Oh my grandson also in nus, studying chemistry (then he proceeded to elaborate, most of which I didn't catch cos it was noisy)

OM: so you want to be friends with my grandson? Heehee

Serious, he really said 'hehe' LOL

Me: Haha so how about a small donation?

OM: I've already donated a lot, it's more meaningful to give a larger sum rather than a few coins like this.
