School's starting soon

There's good wind these few days, I appreciate it, really. But it lifts my curtains up and the sun shines on me and I feel like i'm becoming chaoda. 

Went for ballet under the stars with the Ys. We wanted to go early and chope a good area but by the time we reach, it was really crowded and we dumbly set our picnic mat behind this huge daddy who blocked our view of the dancers. His children kept standing up during the show, especially the young daughter -- I saw her almost fall about 5 times while walking around. LOL 

Also visited Janice's enormous MBS suite with the Ys. Camwhored like nobody's business  

This is just the gym and it's almost the size of my room -very impressed- Going to bugis to shop with the Ys next week =D What is money XD

So I was helping out at matriculation fair and just nice the animation and comics society was just behind our booth. Saw Chuan Min there and went over to fangirl over Suwabe say hi very enthusiastically. and guess what, I signed up! There's already a photo of me (from the hetalia event) on their board so i'm half a member XD hahaha i'm actually feeling very lonely ok... so few of my friends are into anime and manga... no one to fan girl with. Hopefully i'll be able to make more crazy friends at the society and find cosmates!! 

On to my iphone game apps

My megu pet Goku has evolved into the cutest cabbage ever!! It's so freaking cute I want to nom nom noms Goku. I'm getting a feel of how it's like to be raising a kid because it's really expensive to buy food to feed Goku regularly. Plus i've somehow managed to get a few regular visitors who always give me gifts and I need to spend more money to buy food to return the gift. 

Got started on Be my princess for Gree and I won't talk too much about its bad points since it's a free game and what more can I ask for.. As life would have it, I was set on Prince Keith, whom I was the least compatible with (ranked C) omy I feel so lousy because somehow I was too nice and kept making choices that decrease my chemistry with him because he's an arrogant tsundere. I'm at the 11th chapter and starting to run into problems progressing because I'm refusing to spend money on the game =( It's available for IOS and android, so can go search for it if you're interested =D

Anime updates

Back from saxophone chalet this afternoon and slept till dinner time.. probably going to have a hard time falling asleep tonight.

The new season of anime has started and other than Arcana Famiglia, Uta Koi and Natsuyuki Rendezvous, i'm not particularly looking forward to any other series.. Luckily there's still Hyouka, Kuroko no basket and Shirokuma cafe from last season.  Wahh just realised that Nakamura Yuichi has roles in 4 of the series i've mentioned hehe and I've just watched Tokyo encounter ep 13 with Shimono Hiro as guest XD  and as always Hunter X Hunter =DDD YORK SHIN ARC IS HERE! MY GENEI RYODAN BABIES! SHALNARK HUSBANDO

Sakamichi no apollon has ended and what a great series it was, short and satisfying. I cried during the final episode-- the tears were already welling up when Yurika showed Kaoru the photo with 'someone who looks really familar'. Then when they were running down the slope just like the old days.. T ^T It's really too bad Ritsuko and Kaoru didn't remain together in the end, but life's like that, and as mentioned in the middle of the series, friendship lasts forever while love may not. 

Natsuyuki Rendezvous came as a surprise. I was aware that Nakamura would be voicing one of the protagonist, along with Jun Fukuyama and I was totally looking forward to it :D but somehow, I thought it was going to be a movie. So I was so happy when I watched the first episode and realise that it's a weekly series XD Nakamura sounds awesome as always, and Jun actually got my chest feeling really tight in the second episode. He sounded amazingly sweet and gentle in that scene. 

The story is about a 22 year old guy, Hazuki, who falls in love with a florist (Rokka) and starts working at her shop. The florist is a widow and her dead husband's (Shimao) spirit still floats around the shop and house, cock blocking Hazuki to the max. The premise is quite heart wrenching actually but has light hearted and sweet moments too. I foresee myself crying at some point in time. 

Regarding Arcana Famiglia.. From what i've seen so far.. seems like the anime will be Liberta centric? Throw in some Nova and Liberta shounen ai hints too =/ Slightly disappointed because I'm all for Luca and Felicita (if it isn't obvious enough by now haha) Well well well.. it's still quite early into the anime so things may change, who knows =) 

Lastly, Aomine has finally appeared in the Kuroko no basket anime. -fangirls like mad- Yup that's about it. LOL

I watched the latest HxH episode today and it's an indescribable feeling, my favourite part of the series, where the killing begins. @^%$% happy to see Kurapika and things are going to get so freaking exciting I can't wait.  In fact, i'm going to take out my HxH manga and re-read them from the start. 

Ohh I want to ramble abit about future cosplans.. Will be doing Katsura and Kagura rap versions with Yz, probably this year because the costume isn't complicated and the wigs should be quite easy to obtain. It's going to be fun!!! :D Kurapika will be pushed back yet again, because I haven't the slightest clue how to start preparing his outfit. Will be doing the York Shin version because there's where the chains appear, and he looks cooler there too haha. Saw the new character design for Shalnark lao gong, which is essentially the same as in the old anime, just some colour changes to his clothes an hair. He now has a dirty blond hair and wears purple. Kinda prefer the old version, looks more striking. But now that his hair colour is blondish, I can also consider doing a Sharnark cosplay wahaha.

Cosfest XI

Marks my 2nd time cosplaying!! Again, it was great fun even though not many people knew the characters because the anime's really too new and not many people are into otome games to know about Arcana Famiglia PSP before the anime aired.

This post is going to be a long winded entry.

Originally, it was supposed to be a 4-man party for cosfest but things happened (I almost thought I had to go alone at one point) and so I'm super thankful that Yz was able to accompany me this time again. We cosplayed as Felicita and Luca from Arcana Famiglia.

We arranged to meet at 11am and there was a bit of delay while waiting for her white long sleeve button up to arrive. Then we dabaoed lunch to my house, ate, and officially started preparing at 12noon. 

Spammed BB cream like mad but still cant get that whitish look leh... Anyway first problem was trying to get Yz to look like a guy. Inspired by the sexy guyliner look, I told her to line the entire eye. To our disappointment, it turned out like Gaara and she had to wipe it off. Then she kinda accidentally wiped her eyeball or sth and started gasping in pain. LOL 

Problem 2: I popped in my green contacts and did my eye make up. While trying to stick the falsies on, I realised that the eyelash glue I had (those freebies stuff that came together with the lashes) didn't work at all! What I squeezed out from the tube was like some squishy white tack which would be very pleasant to squish the entire day if I wasn't trying to use it to get my falsies to attach to my eye lids. Cannot sia.... so I went for cosfest without the power of fake eyelashes. Xie tian xie di I had my green contacts, if not you won't be able to see my eyes in half the photos.

The outfits were more troublesome this time, Yz's blazer had a single white stripe on the sleeves and each pocket. I decided to be cheapo and used double sided tape because it was so convenient. Later at downtown east, the stuff kept falling off to the extent that we didn't care anymore. Yz also had to use a black marker to colour the bottom part of her shoes black. LOL super DIY. Talking about DIY, I made my own knives as props and sacrificed two files and the cardboard back of a fullscap paper-- over 2 nights. Also tried to make a thigh belt out of a $2 belt I bought. Proud of myself!

Anyway we were scrambling to leave the house towards the end because I wanted to be early for once. Was commenting to Yz about how nice it was that my mum was out if not she would be nagging... and then the door opened and my mum came home. The first thing she said was

你们很会拖leh!

but she offered to drive us to the mrt which I was really thankful for because the walk to the MRT always has me perspiring no matter how slowly I walk, not to mention we were in long sleeved top and pants that day. Left house at 2.30pm. Improvement!

Problem 3: Yz's character was supposed to wear white gloves. Kyou (who was supposed to be Luca originally) had bought the white gloves but she suddenly couldn't find them!!! and the seller said that she had sold her 1 last pair of white gloves to Kyou! So we were gloveless. I posted a plea on Sg cafe and a very nice girl offered to lend us the gloves for that day. I met up with her at downtown east on the day itself and she spent almost 5 minutes searching for the gloves before I told her that it was ok T____T MAKTUB, seriously, maktub.

Problem 4: Rmb the thigh belt I made? It came apart and there was no way I could fix it.... so the accuracy of my cosplay fell again. 

Again, we were quite awkward when posing for photos, though better than last time. A million thanks to Kyou who rushed down from NUS after her work (and even reached earlier than us LOL) to be our photographer. 

Points to note for future events:
Better make up-- how to achieve that flawless looking WHITE complexion? I think i'll just spend money and buy another of that ZA 2 way foundation or whatever it's called. The prev shade I bought was ok for normal use, but too dark for cosplay.... And get a proper tube of eyelash glue.

Better pose: Don't panic when people ask to take photos. Act calm and professional. Yz and I did brainstorm for poses before the event, but it was still awkward. I must rant, there was this guy who just came up to me as I was walking and started snapping away. Warao. I screamed at asked him to stop so I could put down my bag and pose properly with Yz.

Costume and wig-- We've got to be more responsible for the accuracy of our cosplay. From the cosfest photos, I saw that there was another Felicita around, with a Liberta and her costume and wig were super accurate. I feel so ashamed haha.... but i've hunted high and low for the belts and stuff........... unless the outfit and wigs were purchased as a set online =X but that's not the point, my wig colour was very off and costume was only...60% accurate. Got to try wig styling too... using the wig as it is will not be enough to portray most characters. Will try harder!!

Photos-- I tried to take more photos of other cosers, but my photography skills were so bad. Gosh, we all want the sun when taking photos, but the sun blinded me so badly I couldn't see what I was taking -__-

But overall, it was a vast improvement from last time!! Because we were more prepared ((: Even for photo editing, I've figured out how to keep the photo quality when using meitu xiuxiu, and all is lovely. Thanks to Yang Zhi for being my loyal cosmate!! Kowtow to Kyou for being the photographer. Really really thank you guys haha hope to involve other friends next time and make new friends at future events!

DRAMAtical Murder feels (final)

Part 1, Part 2
So I was left with Clear and the secret route the last time I posted about this game.

Clear's route was one that made me laugh and cry.. kinda-- I was this -pinches fingers- close to tearing. Perhaps my reliance on less than perfect translation made the feelings diminish a lot a little, or perhaps i was too overwhelmed by Absolute boyfriend for any other robot stories to move me to tears. Or perhaps i'm just not that into BL for the sad stuff to really reach me.

 It was a beautiful route nevertheless, and quite romantic hohoho nothing beats Noiz's route though. Not after I read the translation for the scene at the Hospital which came out today. NOIZ KYAAA~ but this is about Clear isn't it? okay.

As you can see, Clear was initially wearing that ridiculous gas mask which he refused to remove even when sleeping. When Aoba finally persuaded him to remove the mask, Clear was so afraid that Aoba would be afraid of his face because he was not human and also because he had been told never to remove the mask.. It was really a sweet scene, Aoba's assurance meant so much to Clear, and Aoba gave it so freely and sincerely. 

So the tear jerker part was at the last H scene where Clear was falling apart as he and Aoba did stuff, and I was feeling pretty ok ie not sad-- to the extent where I was screaming mentally for them to stop and do something about Clear's flaking metal bits. Then Aoba said "You were more human like than anyone else, you've always been like a human" and I felt the tears welling up in my eyes. Aoba's kindness, Clear's insecurities T___T at the final moments, I really hope he felt assured.

So for the secret route, it's actually Ren's route, which branches out to Virus and Trip's (surprise surprise!!) This route has 3 endings, one for Virus +Trip, one for Ren's good end and the last one was Ren's bad ending. Everything was explained in this route which also justifies why it was so freaking long.

I'm extremely grateful to Virus and Trip for enlightening us fans on Aoba's past, but I--I was traumatized by the ending D: not the friendliest thing to encounter in my first BL game... Violence is one thing, but.... sorry I can't take so much hot stuff, especially when it's part of the bad ending..

Next up.. Ren!! My sweet doggie who loves Aoba so much. Out of all the characters, I feel that he's the one who loves Aoba the most... There's the childhood friend Koujaku and Clear who's so devoted, but Ren just has a special connection. Ren in doggie all mate form was soooo adorable omg look at those tiny paws

If I were Aoba, I wouldn't have been able to take the cuteness and end up squishing Ren XD

It was quite a sad route too, which made the epilogue in the happy ending all the more precious... In this route, so many things were revealed, it was mind boggling.

Poor Ren, I hated getting the bad ending because it required me to answer the questions wrongly. But by doing that, it meant that after all these years spent together, Aoba was not even able to answer such basic questions about Ren. After all that Ren had done for Aoba, he didn't deserve to be treated like that T ^T anyway the CG for the bad ending was.. ugly. As in, it was meant to be that way, but Aoba looked so grotesque... I didn't like it at all. So good job to N+C! 

Love this CG so much, more than the congratulations CG which was presented after the completion of the game. If you manage to spot Ren, he has his tongue sticking out and he seems to be licking Koujaku LOL! Secret pairing?! XD

Overall, I love this game so much that I didn't try to go too much into the game details for fear of not doing it justice. The characters, music, gameplay and graphics were awesome. I won't rank the characters, but my favourite was Noiz because he had such a charming, irresistible voice and the game developers showered him with lots of love too, look at the CGs and hot scenes he had with Aoba!! I'm not strong enough to overlook that and fall harder for another character. DMMd was definitely worth my time spent on getting and playing it.

Btw i've completed Bloody Call (love love love it) so again, will be sharing some CGs and rants about the game soon.
Cosfest is this weekend!! Yz will be coming to my house bright and early so we don't end up panicking like last time. STRESS because the anime is already out, and people should recognize us but I have no idea how to posee for the camera and all. GAHHHH
