Whee sorry for not updating since A levels ended. I'm so excited about going to taiwan on the 24th where i can hunt for cheap manga, cute stuff and Karene's sweater.
My stay in Malaysia has been exciting so far. I slept, ate good stuff, shopped and vomited. Yup just a few hours ago hahah but dont worry cos i'm alot better now. Except that my stomach muscles feel sore.
OH YES i got a hair cut. =D no pictures yet but i guess i will be taking alot of photos during my ahgong's birthday tmr.

Hunter X resuming on 4th jan!

Gyapo~! Did you see that? NEW HUNTER X HUNTER CHAPTERS WILL BE PUBLISHED IN THE 4TH JAN SHONEN JUMP ISSUE!!!!!!!!! I hope it lasts though X_X
The news came out on 11 nov on animenews and i've been dying to share this great news with all of you XD

Just a few more notes before mum chases me off the comp.
We can look forward to Gintama movie 2010, Gintama: Shinyaku Benizakura-Hen, sometime next year. Finally after a few 'scams' it has been confirmed =D Same goes for Trigun, Gundam oo and Suzumiya Haruhi. Next year is an anime-movie year whee

Cowboy Bebop live action is coming out next year too XD and it's starring Keanu Reeves as Spike. Wow. I'm finding it hard to imagine Spike as anyone else other than the anime version haha. Didn't watch the Dragonball Evolution movie which starred Justin Chatwin and Chow Yun Fat but i'm definitely going to watch the Cowboy Bebop one.. Hoping desperately that it will not let us fans down. At least it's comforting to know that the original Cowboy Bebop producers will be involved in producing the live action movie so that should prevent excessive insanity.

Superior Manga by Ichtys

I started reading this manga by Ichtys early this year and enjoyed it quite alot but the updates were little and irregular so i kinda forgot about it till i spotted the recent update on onemanga.

'Superior' is the name of the manga btw, not just talking about high quality manga (what do you consider high quality manga anyway..)

Superior speaks about this world where humans and monsters are at war to exterminate each other. The male protagonist, Exa aka the Hero, strongly believes in ending the war without killing monsters and goes about confronting monsters who harm humans by defeating them without taking their lives. However, he has vowed to kill the Demon Queen because of the terrible crimes she has committed.
The female protagonist is the Demon Queen, Sheila, who is immensly powerful and kill human beings mercilessly as the leader of the monsters. With the intention of killing the Hero when she has the opportunity, Sheila joins the Hero on his mission to kill the Demon Queen without revealing her identity.

They, in the later chapters, of course, fall in love. Lalala XD

So all the emoing, suspicion and fear come in when Exa suspects Sheila of being the Demon Queen due to her being too powerful for a normal monster and Sheila on the other hand struggles with the pressure to exterminate humans and unwillingness to kill Exa or go against his principle of no-killing. There is also the fear of betrayal on both sides *enter emo stuff*

What i like about Superior is the beautiful and pleasing characters and the unbelievably funny scenes at certain parts which is very refreshing. The plot is rather cliche ie spy falls in love with enemy and betrayal stuff but these actually make it easier for the readers to relate to the characters. Though the drawings arent always clear and each chapter drags up to over 40 pages, the bishies and random scenes of comic relief egg me on.

...................................... crows: ark aaaark aaaarrrrrk....

Eh ok this isn't a good example of the hilarious scenes i've been talking about. But you get my point =D Even the characters and sidekicks are well crafted to add depth to the plot and are not totally useless. For example in Bleach i get the feeling that some of the vice captains and baddies are added in just for the sake of being there to be fought or laughed at.

No news of a Superior anime production in the near future which i'm not surprised cos this manga isn't well known. The translation project for Superior has also been dropped and picked up (due to the terribly long chapters?) I'm really thankful to all translators and people involved in the uploading process for all manga series because alot of work has to be put in to scan, align and clean the pages and of course, translate the content to proper english. Paiseh if i missed out anything hehe
So when you are in the mood for dragons, demons, heroes and swords, try reading Superior and i'm sure either the bishies or humour will win you over

Okay this took me an hour and i'm going back to reading bio now. =D Exams are ending whoo can't wait =DD

Gintama

Today's topic is on CHANGE.. or the desperate need for change

Wednesday 28 October 2009

There was a cockroach in my room

Long time no see! I haven't been neglecting the computer due to studies.. just lazy to blog haha. Oh dear that's not a good sign.

Anyway, the following parargraphs are not reviews but personal thoughts and expectations regarding the new series
I feel really out of touch with the new season of anime, which seems promising XD finally season 2 of Darker Than Black, titled Darker than Black: Ryusei no gemini, came out early october. Whoo~ though the 1st episode left me stunned to see April's death. This shows that the 2nd season will not involve much of M16 syndicate. Sure enough, the charming magician August died in the 2nd episode =( There goes a bishie. Graphics are up to standard, as expected of a Bones production (my 2nd favourite animation studio after Madhouse!) Seeing Hei so unkempt with empty eyes makes my heart ache and seriously i can't recall the details from season 1 so i plan to rewatch the series after As

Kobato anime came out too O_o i didn't even know about its adaptation by madhouse. But again, i was never well informed regarding manga adaptations into anime. Might watch Kobato given that it's by CLAMP. But it's plot isn't the kind that i like.. shoujo josei-ish.
No fighting=boring
Next up is Fairy Tail which holds an uncanny ressemblance to One Piece and Rave. I have not watched the anime nor read the manga but looking the opening, i think the plot direction is going to be something similar to Rave. Glomps the Musica look alike XD

Zan Sayonara Zetsubo Sensei is hilarious and insightful as usual. For example, part of the episode i watched recently discussed the over simplified and altered version of Schrodinger's Cat Experiment where you put a box over a sick cat. This means that there are 2 co-existing but opposing possibilities of the cat remaining alive or dead to people outside the box until the box is opened. And the insanity starts when this logic is applied to daily life. Eg the Schrodinger's forehead box for people with receeding hairline so that they can choose to believe that they still have a head full of hair. Also, we have the Schrodinger's wife/husband box for people who keep divorcing so that there is the possibility of marrying an ideal other half.
I guess it'll only work for optimistic people.

I'm still waiting for deadman wonderland anime and hunter x update.. no idea when it will out, but someday.. in the future..

So not the drama

Dreams are a reflection of what's going on in your life

Two days ago i dreamt about having a math class in the computer lab with those old bulky computers. My math tutor's face was the only human face i remembered from the dream.
Yesterday i dreamt that my sec4 tuition teacher who tutored me in math and physics turned up at my house again to tutor me in math.

Reality 1. I'm so doomed for math though half the cohort scored A.
2.I have something against my current math tutor because he insulted me last year.
3. Being the saikang CIP rep, i fought against time to collate the entire class CIP record using the computer. Sent the email to my teacher at 6.30am before i left for school.
3.I saw a guy who looks alot like my tuition teacher alight from a bus yesterday while waiting for 156.

Darnit, my life is soooooo happening -.-

UVERworld-- thoughts on Koishikute

Before i get caught up with school work and exams again, let me officially proclaim my love for........*drumroll*........... UVERworld =D
UVERworld is a Japanese rock band with 5 members: Takuya as the lead singer, Katsuya (band leader) and Akira on the guitar, Nobuto on bass and Shintarou on drums

My 1st contact with UVERworld music was around 4 years ago, D-tecnolife-- Bleach's 2nd opening and I found Takuya's voice extremely hard to ignore. I have never really fallen in love with anyone's voice before, not even for David Tao but yep Takuya's voice did the trick. Takuya's voice has a certain smoothness to it that can melt any girl (well, almost every girl) and imo, he sounds really sincere and brings out the emotions of the songs, especially the slow ones. (even though sometimes his 哭腔 startles me alittle) It helps that Takuya composes both the melody and lyrics for the band. Infact it's this amazing talent that attracted me. I mean there's a reason why i don't blog about Chemistry (another jap pop group) but about UVERworld and that is because i'm smitten with Takuya and his voice and the beautiful songs he has composed.

Ok as i said that was a few years ago but the reason why i'm blogging about this only now is because of my reignited passion for the band. I chanced upon a song from the Proglution album a few weeks ago which is considered really late cos the album was released in sept last year ._.

恋いしくて , Koishikute, which means 'I love you'. The melody and later on the lyrics got me marvelling at how talented people can be.. and how i can never reach that level haha.
Will not be posting the full lyrics translation here but just a small part from the bridge which i found especially appealing:

'I have given you too much water such that you wilted; I protected you so much that I had deprived you of sunlight.
I have no idea why, but I miss you
I miss you

Honey that is too sweet, is being hated because of its sweetness.
When the perfect balance is broken and starts to crumble, I became scared.
When I understood what was important,
I let go of love.'

Translation: EveSpecial thanks: narutocool & RidleyZOMG!UVERworld
Taken from Coffee Break

Eh not that i have any past experiences to relate to but i've always been intrigued but the idea of overprotection in a relationship and that being the cause of a break up. And the sense of insecurity in a relationship. Ok.. i wonder if 'intrigued' is the word to use here..
So there i was, gaping at the translation and listening to the song in loops. What a beautiful song =)

Let me stress again, UVERworld is a rock band so slow songs arent that common though the slow rock songs are really worth listening to, eg Kimi no suki na uta and eh.. many more lah. The more commonly heard rock songs from UVERworld are each special in their own ways with inspiring lyrics and catchy melodies amidst the rapping =D Here, i find the drummer- Shintarou really talented too haha
So once again, i really like UVERworld and thanks for the great songs which accompanied me through prelims and maybe A levels too =D

Bugright is my favourite UVERworld album!

Holidays =/= happy X Hikaru no go

Long time no see! Hehe i have been really lazy and neglected my blog. Since time is so precious now, i use every opportunity i get on the comp to catch up with my weekly manga updates and check the njc learning portal in case the teachers try to kill us with any last minute hw/lesson/test.

Anime festival asia 09 will still be held in Singapore this year but the sad thing is that it falls before my 2nd last A level paper.. so no chance of going this time. Such a pity cos after last year's experience, i was planning to set a budget for the next anime convention i attend so that i can buy some stuff rather than return with only brochures and pictures hahaha.

It's alright! The sept holidays are here and prelims and A levels will be over soon. I don't seem to have much motivation to survive the exams.. Last year i had this whole list of anime classics i've not watched (plus reviving my maple account) but my post exams activities this year aren't very exciting..

Moving on to my main point today, i love hikaru no go (hng) =D I honestly can't remember if i started reading it before or after hunter x.. oh wait, it was after i fell in love with hxh that i picked up hng haha. Reading it again brings back sooooooo much memories; the sec 2 days at nanyang where i would rush to the library the moment bell rings to borrow the manga.
Later on, breaks became weiqi (go) learning sessions with Sai. Then the green club weiqi gang consisting of Karene, Fausty, Mel and me would play against each other on our self-made goban XD Laoda sometimes joined in too haha that was how i got to know her.

Those were the good days before stress came in during sec 3.. I was so into weiqi that Sai managed to convince me to join a weiqi tournament (Yatiman cup) where i got thrashed more than i thrashed others lolol XDXD
... i feel like an old lady reminiscing about her past

Chibi Sai is irresistable

Yep, until the As are over, i'll try not to slack..... as much =X

Sunday 9 August 2009

What if your best isn't enough?

This assumes that the best was put in too, but that's hard to say..

So glad there's no school tmr. I have finished all my homework but it's a good time to do more hw and revision in advance and convince myself that i will be able to get a place in the local universities. Nevermind the course..
I know that i'm not one of the best, nor am i among the last but it's not good enough to be in the middle. Good enough to compete? Or not to disappoint myself? Currently no. *Sniff*

I'm raving for a game of friendly go aka weiqi. Not against myself please.. And not against some internet opponent too =(

To understand the next sentence, you will have to watch enough of gundam seed.
I must go into SEED mode! *Hopes for some crystal thingy in eyes to break and become emotionless*

Sunday 2 August 2009

Doing too much math is unhealthy X manga

Maybe it's due to the lack of sleep ( from doing so much math)
Yes, i have been doing alot of math. And yes, i'm abit sick with a slight flu and sore throat. =( I believe it's not H1N1 though

I've been doing so much work and neglected my anime and manga =( Can't even sit down to watch a full episode of Sayonara zetsubou sensei. The new season is out! I didn't even know until i spotted the new opening song on gendou. Not in the know anymore =((

Still, the weekly updated manga i'm following motivates me. Like Code breaker, bakuman and bleach. Bleach is still the most exciting in the end.. so much for abandoning it after the bounto arc. I feel that Codebreaker is in abit of a transition phase, aimless and filler-ish. But i'm still going to continue following it hehe hopefully some company will make an anime out of it soon.
The latest chapter of Blazer drive saw to the conclusion of a minor arc and i can't wait to see more of kuroki! XD The previous chapter of Loveless (which was so long ago) disappointed me alot.. Kouga Yun changed her drawing style or sth and everything looked so kiddish. Soubi is so not cool anymore ;_; I hope she receives feedback and reverts back to the previous style. I miss Deadman Wonderland chapters.. No new chapters since early this year and it's such a pity cos out of all the series i'm following DW is in the top 3 in terms of plot and potential for development. Read 2 new chapters of Mirai Nikki a few days ago and that relieved my manga- withdrawal symptoms slightly haha. Broke my heart temporary though, cos of some shocking development X__X

Ok end of my ramblings which no one understands anyway haha. Did i mention about being addicted to anime fanfictions? I used to be crazy over them in sec 2 but lost the interest due to the cliche plot and not so good language (bad influence lol) but i'm interested again! Whee another form of motivation to study and i can tell my mum it's extra content for gp hahaha

Taken from a poll result at mangafox which i used to visit to read Ranma 1/2. So many people read hentai O_O

Sunday 26 July 2009

Long time no see

Yea kinda lost the motivation to blog after receiving common test results. I put in extra effort for chem and math but the results are not reflective.

Anyway the annual band victory night ended yesterday and i had fun taking photos of the juniors =D lots of fun. Will be officially stepping down this coming wednesday and it's hard to believe i've been in band for 2 years already. I still feel noob at playing the saxophone though haha. Back to victory night, this is one of the 30+ photos i took yesterday. Not very clear cos i was laughing too hard to hold my phone properly for some photos XD
More extreme photos on facebook hehe

Ooh check out this cool hollow ichigo drawn on 'my' gp table. I have always sat in the same area for gp and never chose my desk but after ichigo was drawn on it, that desk officially became 'mine'

Sunday 12 July 2009

Meiji yoghurt with aloe vera is the best

Magnum mini classic too XD

Sorry for the long break, presentation night is finally over and i want to thank Yu Fei and Janice for the flower and chocolate!!! Thanks to everyone who wished me luck and listened to me rant about how worried i was days before the concert ie Sherin and Yang Zhi hahaha i'm feeling quite high now

Will be watching the youth orchestra performance at esplanade tomorrow night with celestyn whoo~ so cool but i hope i wont reach home too late.

Haven't gotten back any of the papers though my cts ended 2 weeks ago. All because of H1N1 and all the make up tests. Finally, i can kinda step down from cca and focus 100% on school work. It feels quite empty to go straight home to the books after school without having to worry about conducting the next day or band pracs but i will miss my instrument badly =(

While reading a fanfic the other day, i suddenly had an epiphany: Athrun Zala is the perfect man. In all the anime and manga i've watched and read, i find his personality to be the most charming and eh.. acceptable. As in i approve of his actions/decisions most of the time and i understand the reasons behind them. As compared to the main character of gs who is emotional (aka cry baby), Athrun is more matured and thoughtful. This is quite impressive, for a non main character. Still perfect does not equate to favourite and that explains why Athrun was never one of my top 5 characters.

Eh i know this post is very disjointed.

This indescribable sense of relief

the moment my history teacher collected my test paper.. The worst was over even though i still had chem in the afternoon. Was super high after that.. maybe it helped in cramming in some last minute stuff for chem. Chem wasn't too bad either =D

BYE BYE CTS! Hello prelims and A levels.. Oh well. It felt great to finish all the papers in 3 days though it was terrible that history and chem were placed on the same day. Can't change the A level schedule so might as well get used to it now.
The night before history and chem was terrible, i was seriously contemplating doing some self mutilation. All because of history. INT essay ok but INT sbq, SEA sbq and SEA essay all cmi. Of all subjects, i had to be the least confident in the subject which is taught by the teacher i respect (and am afraid) the most of. Or maybe it's the other way round haha either way it's not a good feeling i tell you.
Still, it's over and i managed to come up with something sophisticated (i hope).

Next thing to worry about it the performance at the durian. We can't show our faces with this level of playing! Noooooooooo. die die die =(

Monday 22 June 2009

Last week of holidays..

Most of the time, anticipation makes things worse. I can't take it, must pause every few minutes calm myself down..

I've been too lazy to blog XD time on the computer is spent reading manga, stories or school work. Reallyworried for history and math.. especially history, i don't know what to expect. Guess that means i don't have enough practice =l

Oh well, short post! Cos i have stuff to do hehehe

Friday 12 June 2009

I feel so lazy...

Sat for chem test in school today followed by chem consultation.. was thinking of ponning because i woke up slightly later than i intended to haha. But being the good girl i am, i rushed and caught the 156 and reached school just before the uncle closed the gate.

I take back what i said in the previous post about dreaming of the day i get to see Kuroki san's eyes. Cos right after i made that post, my dream came through when i read the Blazer drive special chapter.Haha i guess he looks a little strange here =P

Saw the Absolute boyfriend live action advertisement on channel U. I was so excited when i realised that it was about a 'perfect boyfriend who is a robot' and Absolute boyfriend immediately came to mind. But after the excitement, i felt this terrible wave of sadness. It was the 2nd shoujo manga after Fruits basket to make me cry =(( and the ending made me tear more than all the chapters of Fruits basket combined.. Sigh. And everytime i see the advertisement i no longer feel excited but sorrowful. It's to be expected. Robots and cyborgs cannot last forever, that is why i seldom take up anime/manga about them because the ending is bound to be heart wrenching, for most cases anyway. I.. don't feel like elaborating =(

XD do i sound like a emotional and silly fangirl who cries at the slightess things? After all these years of watching anime and reading manga, i have kinda discovered what is more likely to make me tear and it usually has something to do with how the character has changed and the negative consequences.. The greater the contrast, the more it affects me.

Take for example, Kenshin. Right from the 1st episode till the 2nd OVA samurai X: Reflection. Kenshin has aged and changed so much from the cheerful and carefree samurai in the 1st episode. Weighed down by the guilt of his actions and even though he married Kaoru and had a son, he was unable to settle down and chose to wonder around alone. Ok minus the fact that he was suffering from a leprosy like disease, i felt that Kenshin had lost the spirit i loved him for.. Due to the sickness or guilt i dont know T__T I couldn't take it and was already tearing 15 minutes into the ova.

I felt so strange and stupid struggling to hold back my tears while my cousin was there trying to spread the kaya on his bread while keeping an eye on the tv -__- LOL That was about 3 or 4 years ago?

Blazer drive -- Kuroki

Today's final CIP session ended with a briefing by the teacher about how it's best for us and the girls to not contact each other anymore. Not that i became really good friends with the girls but i could see that some of my classmates did and it seems abit cruel to prevent them from talking to each other after CIP ends.

I understand where the teacher's coming from though, about how those girls are only 10 years old and their overprotective parents. Still the teacher said 'it's a school event and we as teachers or mentors, do not go out with students. Anyway, they're on different levels from us and you won't like to hang out with them' Haha, quite true for some lah.
So.. is it really that much of a taboo for teachers to become friends with their students? Oh well.. I guess it depends on the age and the maturity of the student.

Oh dear i'm so easily distracted. Ok changing topic here. I've not seen a loveless manga update for 2 months. Blazer drive seems to have disappeared too =(
I've not said much about Blazer drive here but it's one of the few series i look forward to seeing each month XD Here's my eye candy in the series XD

This hottie goes by the name of Kuroki and nope he's not the main character hehe. It doesn't turn me off that his hair is bright pink and that he's terribly scared of dogs. Guess i'm weak when it comes to that kind of grin XD I think Kuroki is coooool~~ And i look forward to the day when i finally get to see his eyes *daydreams*

Of course, when i like a manga series, i don't only look out for bishies.. the plot plays an important role too. Quite action packed and it's the cliche shounen manga which I fall easily for. Written and illustrated by Seishi Kishimoto, younger twin brother of Masashi Kishimoto who created Naruto, the art is quite similar ahaha. No wonder i found myself thinking about Shikamaru unconsciously while reading the 1st chapter of blazer drive.

In the world of Blazer Drive, Mystickers (stickers), when placed on an object and traced over, can give the specific effect of the shape it takes eg fire or electricity. Only certain people can attach a mysticker on their skin and invoke this source of power without causing themselves any harm and they are called Blazers. So the manga follows Daichi as he discovers his power as a blazer and fights off baddies along with a group of blazers to save his brother =D It is hinted in the series that Daichi is special.. no extra information yet =D

Blazer drive has the potential to be made into an anime.. maybe after it has more chapters and a clearer direction. Before that, i think Code breaker is more likely to be made into an anime. Will blog about Code breaker some time soon whee~ it's an awesome series, even better than blazer drive. Don't ask why i blogged about Blazer drive 1st though, i have no idea too.

Kuroki san's excited about becoming animated!

The fridge reeks of durian X Ranma 1/2

Mum's back from malaysia and Ahgong's going to be living with us for maybe 3 weeks? Yumyum maybe i can gain some weight during this period of time. They secretly brought back fantastic dumplings made by my er jui. That i dont mind...but durians? DURIANS FROM MALAYSIA?! I swear the whole fridge smells like a durian now and even my ferrero rocher has abit of durian flavour. YUCKS. My chocolate!! T__T The fruit looks nice though, when it's firm and a delightful yellow. I've tried eating it but never managed to get past 1 small nibble.

I'm the only one in the family who does not like durian. It's not good to be in the minority, i don't need to take H2 history to know that but this is some how the only time when i feel so strongly about being in the minority.. Other than when chemistry and history papers are squeezed into the same day with math the next day -__-

Sheesh it smells like some one had diarrhoea and flushed the toilet with the door wide open. That's malaysia durian for you. Specially imported from overseas because of it's fragrance.
Meanwhile, here are some Ranma 1/2 screen shots to cheer everyone up =DRanma marked this strange word on Tatewaki's forehead during their fight. Tatewaki san's analysing it.
His conclusion: I detest you, who can spell better than i do! (and correct me without giving me any face!)

Yea but they can write, pick up phones, sweep up leaves and work as an assistant in a clinic. XDXD i guess you have to read the manga to get the full joke =D

Saturday 30 May 2009

SO NOT THE DRAMA

Being the hardworking girl i am, i went to do the 3 math quizzes on km. 1st on was on permutation and combination, mostly multiple choices. Was afraid the comp would hang while submitting the answers so i took my choices down for an easy retry if it really hung. Results came out: 6 upon 13 O__O
I went to check the marked answers and 4 of the answers i chose for multiple choices (initially correct) were changed! Some system glitch or what. ARGH So i ended up getting them wrong and failing the test when i could have passed well. I AM PISSED.

Attempted the 2nd quiz on normal distribution. I was half way through it when the lights flickered once and so did my comp screen. I think electricity in the room was cut off for just a second. That was enough to erase all of my answers and i didn't have the sense to write them down on a piece of paper while doing the quiz. So smart of me right T_________T

Forget it. I'm not going to do the quizzes anymore. I'm going to read manga, lots of them, cos i have done alot of work today. *pouts* AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH SNTD
I think the only thing that can cheer me up now is Ranma 1/2 manga. Which i cant find anywhere! SNTD

CIP was better than expected!

Ignorance really is bliss... It's really sad and disappointing when a friend chooses to skip her 'responsibility' which ends at 4.30pm because she has to watch another friend's performance in school at 7.30pm.

Oh well i've not gotten the full story so there might be some misunderstandings. If so, i will happily delete this post =)

Sunday 24 May 2009

Yi Min! Your'e evil!!! XD

CIP starts this coming thursday and will end next wednesday. I shouldn't have volunteered to be the sai kang cip rep. Haha maybe it's just the school i'm working with that gives me extra pressure. Nvm hope everything will go well

I managed to get more work done this weekend because the concert has ended and lectures end at 12.30 everyday. But i realised i have totally forgotten every single thing about integation so i'm determined to start on that topic next.

Me and the ip junior, Ai Lin! The J1 junior was taking this photo

Saxophone cases. Mine is 2nd from left

The rose that Yufei and Sammy gave me after the concert! Thanks!!!!!! XD

I love my section!!

'Late' night post on Beelzebub oga

Not really late but since school starts at 10.30 tmr i can afford to sleep and wake up later.
I HAVE DONE ALOT THIS WEEKEND. Yay, go me. Ok that was just encouragement for my hard work.. but it doesn't mean that i finished all my hw. There's still history sbq, chem challenging drills, gp essay, math stats and bio tut. Aiya isn't that everything?

Most importantly, CHEM TEST TMR. Only on chem periodicity and halogens but i hope i can do ok.

Oga's version of what you should do when you encounter a baby-who-appeared-out-of-a-man-who-split-into-2-and-disappeared. Read from right to left.

Oga realised why he looked so different from what he had in mind: His mouth turned down and his eyes did not smile when he tried to look friendly.

Friday 8 May 2009

I survived this week!

Rehearsals, SYF, 2 GP tests, Math test, chem quiz, history presentation.......

At least Mr Han found my group's presentation interesting hahahamas XD Math test was bad, chem quiz ok and gp good. SYF was satisfactory. I felt that the award was reflective of all the effort the band put in so yea i'm a happy girl.

Feeling happy now cos i just added this application on facebook where you get to choose the top 5 things for many different questions. Being me, i searched for the favourite anime character question and wow they actually listed Shalnark. Ahaha Goku came in second followed by Kamui, Yzak and Sagara. Well...... i would have liked to put many more, especially Gon, Subaru and Kyouya but it's more interesting to choose only one character per anime =D Searched for the 'top 5 manga i've been looking for' but there was no such question. Haha i checked out the favourite manga instead and yay there is Tokyo Babylon!! XD

Erm.. so this shows that simple things in life make me happy =) hahahhamas

From Saijo no meii. Weak link, but I miss meiji chocolates =l

Honey and clover illustration book

Woke up at 9.30am = i slept for 10 hours. What a luxury XD
Did homework for the entire morning and went shopping with mum for foldable mattresses. She also brought me to kino wahaha. Somehow i feel more comfortable about buying anime and manga related stuff when she's around to approve of it. =l Anyway we went to the kino at bugis junction which is smaller in size so less variety of manga and illustrated collections. But i have noticed that the prices tend to be cheaper at the bugis junction kino than that at orchard. I've never been to the one at liang court branch X__X need to make a trip there to compare the prices haha

Yea so this was what i got with the voucher
Honey and clover illustration book! XD I remember begging mum to buy it for me last year, june. She refused but my aunty from malaysia who was with us then offered to buy it for me. I was greedy ehehehe and chose the bowboy bebop one instead. Yea.. spotted this book at the kino at orchard last saturday but chose not to get it yet. True enough, the one at bugis junciton was cheaper-- by $4 haha better than nothing right! (hopefully the kino at liang court doesnt sell it at a cheaper price)

Close up of the cover picture

Me: I've been thinking about you ever since june last year everytime i visit Kino
Me: See, i came to get you after all! Sorry that you had to wait for 1 year =D *muacks*
Book: ..... -__-lll

Takemoto, Yamada and morita. Chibis own.

One of my favourite pictures in the book. Takemoto on his journey of self-discovery. The background was so nicely drawn and i felt attracted to this picture. Almost all the pictures in the book seemed to be drawn using water colour, creating a pastal and gentle effect.

Last picture =D i was lazy to take more photos haha. On the whole, a good buy but sad to say, the book wasn't in tip top condition. Oh well it's alright, i take good care of all my books =)

I see that kino has had an influx of different Code Geass art books. Was tempted to get one (since the character designs are by CLAMP) but decided against it cos i'm still hopefull to find a cheaper version of Tokyo Babylon manga at kino. Spotted Togashi's art book but it was on Yu yu hakusho so i didn't get it either. Kino should try to take better care of their books.. i saw this X 'infinity' illustrated collection, containing the same pictures as the one i own, in a terrible condition; the cover was torn quite badly =( i dont think anyone will buy it anymore.

'Girls flirt with the dangerous guy, they don't bring him home. They marry the good guy.'

By Jean Grey. This was what i heard when i switched to channel 5. Whoo~ X men2, not my favourite of the 3 movies but come on, it's X MEN. I felt so sad for Logan when i heard that phrase. Cyclops used to be so cool but he was terrible in Xmen3 which i hope channel 5 will show soon =D

I have been so busy the past week with band. It's time for some manga/anime talk. Visited kino just now with my $100 vouchers and was really excited cos mum gave me the 'go ahead' to buy stuff. I spotted the Tokyo Babylon. But only books 1,2,5 and 6. The most important book 7 was nowhere to be seen. Plus they costed an average of $12 each. X__X looked through the art books carefully with full consideration of the prices. Nothing i must get though i was very tempted by Clamp in wonderland; this super thin book but the price tag read $32++. SIGH
Huang cheng itself was good but it rained so heavily when jiaying, fausty and i tried to make our way there. My shoes were totally drenched. My beautiful new adidas shoes which the shopkeeper told me not to wash but only wipe the external surface T___T

Finally uploaded the photos from my phone to the comp and here are some more interesting ones.
Roosevelt: I sues you for making me spoke strange sentence

This is my pwning handwriting while nodding off during chem. Well it's not that bad, but bad enough. Check it out, i actually wrote 'potentially' twice

Hahaha

My favourite shirt!! Got it in thailand last year ^_^

(Randomness) Xblade manga sounds hilarious: 'A boy meets a sword and history will never be the same.'

One ferrero rocher a day keeps the blues away

but it also gives you an ulcer if you don't drink enough water

Yes.. i'm still thinking about the Tokyo Babylon manga i was so close to getting. The brilliant colours were so tempting.. Subaru... T__T I wonder if i'll find all 7 books in the traditional edition at kino. I spotted the english version published by another company at kino early this year but the cover art was not as nice. And they cost bombs =(

Syf is just 2 weeks away and the 1st rehearsal is this coming friday. I'll need to get court shoes by wednesday howhow!?
